The DYOT Project -- the Last Project of the Year
DYOT stands for "Do Your Own Thing." What does that mean? Well, it doesn't mean that you can do whatever you want. There are some restrictions.
You have to be working on something related to the arts -- preferably something involving the computer.
Applications/Programs available for you to use include, but aren't limited to:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Animate
- Any other Adobe product in the Creative Cloud (Suite)
- Online ART CREATION/PRODUCTION applications, such as
|
*Note that you will have today, Friday, and next Monday to work on this project. With that said...
You could choose to create ONE LARGE PROJECT, A SERIES OF SMALLER PIECES, or A HYBRID CONTAINING ONE LARGER PROJECT AND SOME (POSSIBLY ONLY ONE) SMALLER PIECES.
The main objective is that you remain appropriately busy. With that said:
- Don't goof around
- Don't play games
- Don't engage with social media
- Don't text anyone (including your mom)
- If you are going to listen to music, listen to a PLAYLIST or an AUTOMATED Music Recommendation Service
Each day (today, Friday, and next Monday), you will be expected to turn in what you did during class that day.
Part of your grade for each day will be based on whether or not you turn in something.
It doesn't have to be "good," or "finished." It just has to be turned in. It could be your continuing work on your Digital Portrait, or a photograph of something you drew (or painted) during class, or something new you created using the computer.
