Web Page (or webpage) a web document that is suitable for the World Wide Web and web browsers. Typical web pages provide hypertext.
HTML: an abbreviation that stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is the language for describing the structure of Web pages.
HTML Element: the basic building block of HTML and is typically made up of two tags: an opening tag and a closing tag.
HTML Attributes: modifiers that are added to HTML opening tags. They are separated from the tag name in the opening tag by a space, and the value of the attribute is assigned with an equal sign.
CSS: an abbreviation that stands for Cascading Style Sheets. It is the language for describing the presentation of Web pages, including colors, layout, and fonts.

Framing: The space and point of view for a picture, as determined by the picture's horizontal and vertical borders.
Movement: A principle of design associated with rhythm, referring to the arrangement of parts in an artwork to create a sense of motion to the viewer's eye through the work.
Rhythm: A principle of design that refers to ways of combining elements to produce the appearance of movement in an artwork. It may be achieved through repetition, alternation, or progression of an element.
Sequence: In the popular arts of comics and movies, and in multiple exposure photography, the following of one event or image after another in logical order.

Balance: A principle of design referring to the arrangement of visual elements to create stability in an artwork.
Symmetrical Balance: A balance arrangement in which the parts of a composition are organized so that one side duplicates or mirrors the other.
Approximate (Modified) Symmetry: The use of forms that are similar yet different, on either side of a vertical axis.
Asymmetrical Balance: A feeling of balance attained when visual units on either side of a vertical axis are actually different but are placed in the composition to create a "felt" balance of the total artwork. We will be looking at three different types of asymmetrical balance: Golden Ratio, Rule of Thirds, and "Golden Triangle."
Space: An element of art that indicates areas between, around, above, below, or within something.
